“Ricoh would like to congratulate Pixel on their 20th anniversary. Since 1989, Pixel have done an outstanding job of reporting on industry news and developments within the photography channel. Ricoh are delighted to have supported Pixel in the last few years and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the UKs premier title for retailers and manufacturers for the imaging industry. ”
Dominic Wingent - Ricoh EPMMC UK
“The magazine 'Pixel' has been a Bible for the latest photo industry news. Dennis Taylor and Stan Phipps were legendary in their Poirot-like determination to ferret out the latest trade gossip.
I particularly like the fact the magazine has continued to have printed the facts as they see them and not what just supplier press releases say. The latest Pixel awards and trade show is a great gathering for the trade only and gives people a chance to meet without the general public also being present. The awards are coveted by everyone connected with imaging.
Lee and James are to be congratulated in their efforts to keep our industry buzzing. The electronic issues of the magazine mean you can view the latest news from anywhere in the world.”

“Samsung congratulates Pixel on its 20 th Anniversary and wishes the magazine and its team every success for the future. Happy Birthday Pixel!”
Robert King, Director, Digital Imaging Division, Samsung
“I just can't believe it's been twenty years! It's gone so quickly. I'm gobsmacked. Pixel has been the mouth of the industry for so long, it just doesn't feel like two decades can have passed… If ever you want to know what's going on in the industry, Pixel's the first place you'll see it in print and that's a great job to be doing in the industry for so long. I'm confident that this will continue! How Stan and Dennis had the foresight to call it Pixel twenty years ago I'll never know, but the magazine has moved with the times and kept us all up to date. Many happy returns!”

“It is not difficult to see the role of Pixel in the photographic imaging market. It has provided its readers with informative articles in a unique way over the past 20 years and it has played an increasingly important role in the maturation of the industry. Formally and informally, the magazine has provided a conduit of information between product manufacturers and retailers. Well done Pixel. Happy Anniversary!”
Angela Warnes, Managing Director, Photastic PR Ltd
“Over the years, and in particular since James Mansfield became the Managing Editor, Pixel have done a great job in keeping us all informed about our beloved trade. The wide variety of stories and comment are really first rate. Well done to all at Pixel and here's to the next 20 years!”
Jeff Scowen, - Jeff Scowen Photographics Ltd,
“For as long as I have been in the camera trade, Pixel has been the voice of our industry. Its appeal is wide spread and far reaching; from the young lad behind the counter to the senior decision makers. Pixel's finger-on-the-pulse mix of breaking news, industry comment and good humoured articles ensures it is always well read and well respected. Congratulations to everyone at Pixel on a great success story!”
Stuart Humphery – Peak Development
“As an avid reader of Pixel, I find the magazine informative and interesting to read. I congratulate Pixel on their 20th anniversary and look forward to another 20 years if I live that long. If Lee keeps insisting on getting me drunk every time I see him, then it's unlikely. It would be nice if James wore a suit now and again, but you can't have everything! Lee and the team continue to do a great job, especially at the Trade Show and Awards which has quickly established itself as the industry's leading event. Well done guys.”
Jason Mitchell - Camera World
"When I first became aware of the fact that Pixel was 20 years old,I tried to recall what my personal memories were of the industry around that time. Bucket loads of 110 cameras still being sold (remember them?); selling Sirius brand lenses and binoculars from Korea; my first visit to a Chinese Camera Factory in a small village (10 years later, it had turned into a McDonalds in a suburb of Shenzhen!); Kodak changing from the 110 Fling Single Use Camera to a 35mm version called the Funsaver; Concord launching the first private label SUC (think ‘small house-brick!'); Polaroid being awarded nearly a billion dollars in a lawsuit against Kodak (what happened to that cash?), and - I am fairly sure - a certain Mr. Banks offering a new 35mm camera range under the then unknown brand of Samsung. I think I still have the very original samples in my garage somewhere if Samsung want to buy them back!
”The only thing that has remained constant in this time, has been the presence of what I always refer to as THE Trade publication for my Industry, Pixel.
”From the pioneering days of Stan and Dennis to the current Mansfield dynasty, Pixel has always, in my view, given balanced professional reporting of the news, yet managed to retain a sense of humour and close rapport with its audience. The owners and editors have always worked very hard to try and break the biggest stories first and its no coincidence they normally do - How? Last to leave the bar, first with the story!
” All joking aside, may I wish Pixel all the best on its 20th birthday and continued future success."

Colin McCarthy, Warehouse Express
“Pixel has played an important role in the changes that the industry has seen in the last 20 years. It is the voice of the industry, offering its readers invaluable insight in to what is going on in the market. Happy Anniversary Pixel!”
Greg Cooney, Managing Director, Bogen Imaging
“In today's economic climate it's a rare opportunity to be able to congratulate a business on its celebration of 20 years trading! Having been around at Pixel's launch with Stan and Dennis, I am rather hoping (somewhat forlornly in view of rapidly diminishing pension values) not to be still working when you get to 40! Your anniversary reminds me that Tudor will be 65 (an OAP!) this year – so maybe it's time to retire…
Pixel has always been the fastest to report the news (and gossip) on our industry, and has never had a team that was short on enjoying life to the full – all (with) larger than life livers!
All of us at Tudor wish you and your team many happy returns on the day!”
Robert Carr - Managing Director, Tudor/SPS Logistics Ltd
“Many Congratulations on 20 years of bring the latest news on products and information on what's happening in our Industry. Here's looking forward to the next 20 years news and views!”
Roy Sealey - Swains
“ Scarily, even at 20 years, Pixel is still at an adolescent stage compared to a lot of people still in the business… or is that the other way round? Good grief, I have been in it longer than that, after starting work at 14 polishing Barry Taylor's car! Ever since I sat drinking champagne after an Olympus press do and watching the world go buy in a wooden motor launch on the Thames with Dennis, getting on for 20 years ago, I figured the photo business was not all bad. Pixel has always reflected the industry in all its gory and glory detail, engaging everyone. Now more than ever it continues to campaign and encourage. I hope this cringingly obsequious passage adapted from my gushing profile of the Royal Family soon to be published in individual copies via Blurb Hardback shows just how low some people are prepared to stoop to curry favour!”
Mark Thackara, Olympus
"Being part of the team for a work experience placement made it clear to see how Pixel has become the well respected and illustrious publication it is today. 20 Successful years as what is considered ‘the industry newspaper' certainly pays tribute to the dedication and enthusiasm put into the magazine by all the staff at Park View Publishing.
Congratulations to the team for all the hard work paying off…it's tough, but you always manage to get there!"
Colin Hall – ‘The work experience guy'
